Product Description Japanese men smoke twice as much as American men and yet have half the cancer rate. Wouldn't you like to know how this is possible? Smoking continues to be the number one preventable health risk in America causing more heart disease and cancer death rates than any other contributing factor. Employers continue to lose billions of dollars every year because the current smoking cessation programs only have a 10% success rate. Now, for the first time, this puzzle about how to quit smoking has been solved in a new book entitled The Healthy Smoker: How to Quit Smoking By Becoming Healthier First. Doctors and health experts across the country are embracing the program outlined in this easy to read book, which can achieve phenomenal success rates for any group of employees who smoke. Healthy Smoker February 8, 2007 I've learned that I already am a "healthy smoker". Now I just need to quit. Smoking cessation requires much work, but it can be achieved. A great book, very informative, easy reading.
A MUST READ!!! April 7, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you smoke, you owe to yourself and your loved ones to read this book and put into practice the program that Dr. Bens outlines. Even if you don't smoke, you will still benefit from reading this book. I found the book to be highly informative, easy to understand and chock-full of valuable information on nutrition and positive life style choices. In today's world of astronomical medical costs, THE most important thing we can do for ourselves is take care of our health and Dr. Bens has great insight on how to help us do that.
also great for non-smokers February 16, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this book contains a wealth of very useful nutritional/detox information for anyone. I am not a smoker, but I read it with interest from beginning to end. I am highly recommending it to my friends who do smoke. It is a clear and simple way to understand what changes happen to your system when you smoke and how to best counteract the negative impacts by supplementation, food choices, and exercise. Easy read and a step by step guide to a healthier you. Ursula Olson www.liveorganics.com
